The WNY Blues Society is committed to "Keeping the Blues Alive" with numerous educational opportunities for the community to engage in. It is our hope that these programs will continue to inspire and grab the attention of younger generations in order to continue the legacy of America's oldest music genre.
A Monthly gathering offering new Blues players of all ages an unique opportunity to hone their skills through workshop and performance components lead by professional Blues musicians.

Reaching over 20,000 students, the BITS program introduces the Blues to students and staff, from Pre-K to college. Programs are designed to be interactive, vary from interdisciplinary groups to classrooms, and range from concert assemblies and lectures to story telling, lyric writing and history. Workshops give students an opportunity to build and/or play musical instruments. Programs can be aligned to school curriculum and are presented by professional Musician educators.

In conjunction with and as a continuation of our BITS programming in the community, this FREE program provides an opportunity for youth specifically under the age of 21, to learn and perform the Blues with some of WNY's top Blues musicians in an environment conducive to learning. Workshops, musical performances and musical experiences are presented as a therapeutic vehicle to rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, youth camps, senior facilities and more. Programs are tailored to the specific audience, presented by professionals, and coordinated by the Education Committee and the individual agency.
