Kelley Hunt’s storied career as an indie artist comprises 150K+ indie units and tens of thousands of downloads
sold, spots on some of the biggest festival stages anywhere, legions of fans in North America and Europe, a robust
radio presence and much more. But her history in Buffalo qualifies the market almost as a second home.
Throughout her career she has packed clubs and showcase rooms, appeared at Artpark Amphitheater in Lewiston
3 times, been featured on almost every significant roots/blues music festival in the region and received consistent
spins on area radio stations. She makes it a priority to come to Buffalo and connect with her fans in some format
every year. On Aug. 7 the workshop session in the afternoon and an intimate evening solo singer/songwriter format
concert performance offer her a great way to honor and stay close to her Buffalo area fans.

“I do workshops in a lot of different settings and when MIA proposed this in conjunction with the concert it
felt perfect. Buffalo people have been so great to me from the very beginning - so I get to connect with
fans in a unique way and maybe encourage some aspiring young songwriters. Songwriting is as important
today as it has ever been. People have things to say, things that need to be said,” commented Hunt.

For the concert set Hunt plans a night filled with material from her latest acclaimed release “The Beautiful Bones”,
some Buffalo-favorite choices from the rest of her catalog and arrangements of some new things she’s working on
for a new release projected to street later in 2018.

She has just released a live recording of a new song “STAND UP! Stand On The Side of Love” and made it
available for free download everywhere. The song comments directly and unreservedly on a list of social and political
issues gone wrong in current times, reminds listeners that most of those issues are things we all used to agree
on regardless of political party and calls out people to stand up and, more specifically, make sure they vote.
“STAND UP!” tee shirts have been produced for sale - all the proceeds will go to support voter registration in every
performance market through the League of Women Voters. The shirts will be available at this show.

Praise for Hunt’s most current project “The Beautiful Bones” , widely considered the best work of her career, has
been effusive: “If there truly is a Higher Power, He/She should press PLAY on the latest release by Kansas City’s
Kelley Hunt. Rest assured that the takeaway will be, despite how everything’s been going lately, everything’s going
to be okay after all.” said BLUES MUSIC MAGAZINE; “Kelley Hunt soars on her new release and invites listeners
along for the ride.” said CASHBOX; “It is not very often that we receive an album that makes us sit down and really
listen; like, grabs us and demands our full attention. Multi-instrumentalist Kelley Hunt has done just that with her
new album, ‘The Beautiful Bones’. This album has depth, soul, personality, and nuance. (It) will definitely lift your
spirits and make you smile, on the inside.” AMERICAN BLUES SCENE; “a beautiful work of art…It is an album you
will want to hear over and over discovering something new each time.” added TUMBLR. THE SEATTLE TIMES
proclaimed her “One of the best songwriters of the genre” in an earlier review.
